The Horror Writers Association has announced the 2017 Bram Stoker Awards Final Ballot! Lisa Morton, HWA President (and multiple Bram Stoker Award winner) announced the list, saying: “This year’s slate of nominees truly demonstrates the breadth and quality of the horror genre… once again, our members and awards juries have chosen outstanding works of literature, cinema, non-fiction, and poetry.”

Named in honor of the author of Dracula, the Bram Stoker Awards are given in celebration of horror writing in eleven categories, including novels, novellas, poetry, and screenplays. Previous winners include Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, George R. R. Martin, and Neil Gaiman.
